Yan Huo is a Chinese-born financier, who is best known as the co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Capula Investment Management, a prominent global fixed income and macro-focused hedge fund. He established the firm in 2005 and has played a crucial role in its growth and success.

Yan Huo was born in China and later moved to the United States for higher education. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). His educational background, particularly in engineering, has equipped him with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, which have proven to be valuable in the world of finance.

Before founding Capula Investment Management, Yan Huo gained significant experience in the finance industry, primarily at JP Morgan.
