Andreas Fibig

Andreas Fibig is a German business executive who has served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF), a global producer of flavors, fragrances, and other specialty ingredients, since September 2014. Under Fibig's leadership, IFF has grown significantly, expanding its product portfolio and global footprint through strategic acquisitions and a focus on innovation.

Born on August 14, 1961, in Berlin, Germany, Andreas Fibig earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the Berlin School of Economics and Law. He later completed an executive management program at Harvard Business School.

Before joining IFF, Fibig held various leadership positions across multiple industries, including pharmaceuticals and consumer goods. He began his career at Boehringer Ingelheim, a German pharmaceutical company, where he worked for over 15 years in various roles, including as the Head of the Corporate Division for Prescription Medicines.

In 2004, Andreas Fibig moved to Pfizer Inc., a multinational pharmaceutical corporation, where he held several senior leadership positions. Among his roles at Pfizer, he served as the President of the company's pharmaceutical operations in Europe, as well as the Senior Vice President of the US Pharmaceuticals Group. Fibig was also a member of Pfizer's Executive Leadership Team.

As the Chairman and CEO of International Flavors & Fragrances, Fibig has played a crucial role in the company's growth and strategic direction. He has led IFF through a series of significant acquisitions, such as the purchase of David Michael & Company, a flavors and fragrance firm, and the acquisition of Frutarom, an Israeli-based flavors, and natural ingredients company. These acquisitions have expanded IFF's product offerings and increased its presence in key markets.

Under Andreas Fibig's leadership, IFF has also focused on innovation, sustainability, and collaboration, launching new products and solutions that cater to evolving consumer preferences and industry trends.
