Evan Greenberg

Evan Greenberg is an American insurance executive with extensive experience in the industry. He is the son of Maurice R. Greenberg, former CEO of American International Group (AIG), and the brother of Jeffrey W. Greenberg, former CEO of Marsh & McLennan Companies.

Education:

Greenberg earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in American History and Literature from Brown University.

Career:

Greenberg began his career in the insurance industry at AIG, where he held various positions across different divisions of the company. During his time at AIG, he served as the President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the company's international operations, gaining valuable experience in the global insurance market.

ACE Limited:

In 2001, Evan Greenberg joined ACE Limited, a Zurich-based insurance company, as the Vice Chairman. In 2004, he was appointed President and CEO of the company, and in 2007, he took on the additional role of Chairman of the Board.

Chubb Limited:

In January 2016, ACE Limited acquired the Chubb Corporation, a U.S.-based insurance company, and adopted the Chubb name. Evan Greenberg continued to serve as the Chairman and CEO of the newly combined company, Chubb Limited.

Under Greenberg's leadership, Chubb has grown to become one of the largest global insurance and reinsurance companies, with operations in more than 50 countries. The company offers a wide range of property and casualty insurance products for individuals and businesses, including commercial and personal property insurance, casualty insurance, life insurance, and professional liability insurance.
