Barry Babcock

Barry Babcock is one of the three co-founders of Charter Communications, along with Jerald Kent and Howard Wood. They started the company in 1993. Babcock served in executive roles within Charter Communications, including as Chairman and CEO. Under their leadership, Charter Communications expanded rapidly, becoming one of the largest cable operators in the United States.

Before founding Charter, Babcock also co-founded another cable company called Cencom Cable Associates in 1980, along with Kent and Wood. Cencom grew to serve over half a million customers before it was sold in 1991.

After Charter, Babcock also served as an executive with other firms in the industry. For example, he was a member of the board of directors for Cequel III, a company involved in the acquisition and management of cable television systems.

Babcock's extensive experience in the cable television industry is well recognized, and he has been a key player in its development over the past several decades. However, it's important to note that my last training data is until September 2021, and for the most recent details, you should refer to the latest sources.
