KeyCorp

Samuel H. Mather (1851 - 1931) was an American businessman who played a significant role in the founding of the Society for Savings, a predecessor of the present-day financial services company KeyCorp. Mather's efforts in developing the Society for Savings laid the foundation for what would eventually become one of the largest bank-based financial services companies in the United States.

KeyCorp is a regional bank holding company based in Cleveland, Ohio. The company was founded by Samuel H. Mather in 1849 and operates through its subsidiary, KeyBank National Association, which provides a wide range of financial products and services to individuals, small businesses, and corporate clients.
