Rich Barton is an American entrepreneur and philanthropist, best known as the co-founder of several high-profile tech companies including Expedia, Zillow, and Glassdoor.
Born in 1967 in New Canaan, Connecticut, Barton graduated from Stanford University in 1989 with a degree in engineering. He began his career as a product manager at Microsoft, where he worked on Windows, MS-DOS, and Office, before proposing the idea for an online travel booking site, which would become Expedia.
