Kurt Sievers was appointed CEO of NXP Semiconductors in May 2020. Before his tenure as CEO, Sievers held various leadership positions within the company, including Executive Vice President and General Manager of NXP's Automotive, Industrial & IoT, and Communications Infrastructure business segments.

NXP Semiconductors N.V. is a leading global provider of semiconductors and solutions for various applications in the automotive, industrial, communications, and consumer markets. The company was founded in 2006 when Philips Semiconductors, a division of the Dutch multinational company Royal Philips, was spun off as an independent entity. NXP Semiconductors is headquartered in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
